The world is experiencing a gradual increase in shocks that threaten the wellbeing of individuals, families, organizations, and communities. Resilience emphasizes not just the capacity of a system, be it individual or community, to withstand shocks, but also to adapt and grow.  The overarching goals of this research cluster are 1) to advance the research of resilience by using a multi-system and interdisciplinary approach, and 2) to inform evidence-based resilience programmes at different systems. A comprehensive understanding of resilience cannot be achieved without considering the dynamic and multidimensional nature of this concept. Current research projects include the development of the Multi-System Resilience Index, exploring community resilience patterns and factors using the Gallup data, and testing the effect of a regulatory flexibility intervention programme in promoting self-control and well-being.
