Introduction

“Hiding within those mounds of data is knowledge that could change the life of a patient, or change the world.”

                                                                                                                                 – Atul Butte, Stanford University

In the era of big data, harnessing statistical programming languages becomes one of the survival skills for the 21st century. In academia, R language is very popular among researchers and scholars, creating a huge community that provides immediate supports and updates to the latest techniques and functionalities without needing to develop everything from scratch yourself. This workshop will provide an introduction to R and how we can use R for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization.
