Summary

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most well-established evidence-based psychological therapies. It has accumulated a mass amount of evidence for its effectiveness in the treatment of common as well as severe mental disorders. This school of therapy focuses on the role of dysfunctional thinking in the causation and maintenance of emotional distress. The interventions are structured, systematic, and time-limited. This workshop is a basic and practical introduction for students who wish to learn what happens during a course of cognitive behavioral therapy.
