Introduction

This talk discusses about risk management for private business and the government. It focuses on the “One-Belt One-Road” Initiative proposed by China at the end of 2013. After exploring the main features of the initiative, it analyses the economic impacts of the Initiative, the business opportunities it could generate, and possible risks associated with investment by the private sector and the Chinese government in those countries along the Land Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road. How to manage these risks will also be examined.
